I need to monitor the EVENTLOG for logon audit failures and I can't get pass the testing part in the rule setup. This is what I get.

    Probably a connection can not be made to the remote computer. Make sure that the service runs under a windows administrator account having sufficient rights on the remote computer.

    I can connect just fine using windows but can't connect through serverscheck. This is a windows 2000 machine and I can manage the remote machines from this server just fine. I am using an account with domain admin rights.

    Unfortunately there is not more I can tell but to point to Windows security settings either on the remote host or the login name under which the configuration server is not running not having sufficient rights.
